Kit Berry wrote the first three books in a white-hot heat – the first drafts took just four months altogether to write. At the time she was working full-time as a school teacher in Dorset, where she’d been living for twenty-five years. She worked with her agent and editor on redrafting, and in the meantime wrote the fourth book in the Stonewylde series.
Kit is a pagan who was inspired to write the Stonewylde books whilst walking a labyrinth one Hallowe’en. She loves the Dorset countryside, and this profound connection with nature shines through in her writing. She has now left Dorset to live in Berkshire with her partner, her children having grown up and flown the nest.
Kit is very pro-active in promoting her books and is available for book signings and author events. As an ex-school teacher she is happy to talk to groups, large and small, and past audiences have found her inspiring and entertaining.
